Your Daily Wellness Organized.
I’m definitely what you would call an early adopter, but it took me a few months to fork over $52 for a set of pill cases. I’ve tried at least 10 different types of pill cases, but the quality or function of those cases didn’t wow me. I regularly take medication, and as a perimenopausal woman, A LOT of supplements. I also travel for work, so keeping my pills organized is crucial. I ordered Dosey’s AM PM Compact Set after it popped up in my social media feed for the 500th time (or possibly just the 20th).
Dosey’s promise is thoughtful design, honest quality, and a kinder daily ritual. Elsewhere, they also claim to be a stylish solution to pill cases. I paid full price for all of the items I purchased, and they definitely MET the expectations set by Dosey. I’ve been using these pill cases for more than a year, and the picture above is after all of that use.
When it comes to brand promises, they delivered; the expectations they set and my personal experience matched. I’ve traveled many times internationally and coast to coast with these cases, and the quality is impressive. I almost gave them an Exeeds rating because they claim to hold up to 8 pills in each daily slot, but I can get at least 10. Some reviews mention it being too small, but that wasn’t my experience. So why is my rating a “Met”? The case is easy to fill as the days are clearly labeled, but there is a trick to opening it. If you drop it, the mirror and case will not break, but it may open and spill your pills all over the airport parking lot. If you worry about getting sick at an airport, think about taking pills that have rolled all over the floor. Despite that unfortunate incident, I love my Dosey pill case.
What about implied expectations? Those things they don’t say, but you expect anyway. It’s expensive for a pill case, so I expected it to be nice looking, well-made, easy to use, and secure. There is a trick to opening the case, and you may want to wrap a hair tie around it if you are throwing it into a large tote or duffel, but I stand by my purchase. I can have my pills out on the counter without feeling like I’m being judged for taking so many pills and supplements. Some of my friends did judge me for spending $52 on a set of pill cases, but that’s an ongoing issue.
I have no way to test whether Dosey actually uses food-grade materials, but I believe them. The cases are thoughtfully designed, and each set includes two cases in different colors. I use pink for AM pills and green for PM. I wish they had more colors, but I’m sure they will eventually. Then again, it’s a quality pill case, so I suspect I won’t be buying a replacement just for the color.
Since buying my case, they’ve introduced new styles that I would love to try, but despite dropping my pill case frequently, it just won’t break. So I have to stick with my own motto, buy quality and keep it for a long time.
