Is Face Flex Really a Flex?
There has been so much Sarah Creal Beauty hype in my feed that I wanted to try it, even though I knew it would not be an everyday or long-term fit for me.
I’m a no-makeup makeup person. Unless I’m being professionally filmed or photographed, I do not wear much makeup. Westman Atelier is my go-to clean makeup brand, with a few Merit products sprinkled in. There are a few reasons I’m wearing less makeup these days. Primarily, the rude plot twist is that after 50, you need more makeup, but more makeup is not necessarily flattering. I also do not have the patience or time for lengthy makeup routines, and in a boardroom, I want my work to speak louder than my lipstick.
What I Expected (the promise)
Makeup designed for women 40+ that flatters, smooths, and brightens without looking heavy. I expected thoughtful formulas, clear directions, and products that actually did what they claimed.
What Happened (real life)
The products worked. I used Face Flex, Face Flex Correct Under Eye Brightener, and Firm Offer 4-in-1 Ultimate Eye Cream (this is no longer for sale, but I’ve reached out to the company to find out why). I also tried Back of the Cab mascara, which performed well, but only comes in black. It’s worth mentioning that I decided to go lighter than the Face Flex shade tool recommended, & I’m glad I did.
The before-and-after photos tell the story, and I did not edit them at all. What you see is real life, including rosacea, hyperpigmentation, and dark circles. (My skin is overdue for laser intervention.) A makeup artist absolutely would have done a better job than I did, but that’s not my trade. I’m here to show you what products look like on a regular person who mostly follows directions.
That said, my under-eye area is sensitive to silicones, and I develop milia very easily, so this is not going to be an everyday product for me. I could tell I was getting congested after wearing it for a few days in a row. That is more about my skin than the brand. (A sacrifice I was willing to make for you.)
The brand is also very upfront about its ingredients, tells you exactly how to use its products, and offers excellent customer service.
Bottom Line (who it’s for)
If you are 40+ and struggling with under-eye issues and do not mind taking a few extra steps when applying makeup, I think you will like Sarah Creal. If you prefer minimal ingredients, fewer steps, or are silicone-sensitive, this may be more of an occasional product than an everyday one.
Final Verdict: For me, this is a MEET. It did exactly what it said it would do.
Not sponsored. Not gifted. Not compensated. Just my dark circles and my opinion.
